As for what the episode 6 trailer shows us, the weary travelers seem to finally find a little peace. But after Joel finally reconnects with his brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna), the two disagree on what's to be done. Tommy, it seems, isn't happy with the fact that they killed people to stay alive.
This episode also introduces Rutina Wesley's Maria, who leads the survivors in Jackson, who have something of an actual city.
