The Destiny 2 Revision Zero Exotic Quest introduces you to the Operation: Seraph’s Shield Exotic mission, but there are four catalysts and other upgrades to get too. This high-tech Exotic Pulse Rifle can fire in four or two-burst modes - you can switch at any time - and scoring enough precision hits allows you to turn the weapon into a pocket sniper rifle with a flip-up scope. The fun isn't over once you've got Revision Zero either as you can earn four Exotic Catalysts and special Hunter's Trace upgrades in extra Destiny 2 quests involving Legend-difficulty Seraph’s Shield missions. Here’s how you can get Revision Zero in Destiny 2 and how to get all four of its Exotic Catalysts with the Should You Choose To Accept It quest.

How to get Revision Zero in Destiny 2

Getting Revision Zero is the easy part in all this. Start by completing the step 23 of the More Than A Weapon Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph story quest, which involves speaking to Elsie Bray at the Holoprojector in the HELM. This will unlock the Operation: Seraph’s Shield Exotic Mission and will let you begin ‘The Hidden Shape’ - the Exotic Quest for Revision Zero. Once you’ve got that quest, the steps are as follows:

1. Complete Operation: Seraph’s Shield to get the Ancient Prototype item.
2. Go to the Exo Frame in the HELM to collect Revision Zero.
3. Complete the Deepsight Resonance challenge on your new Revision Zero to unlock the crafting pattern.
4. Craft another Revision Zero using the Relic at the Mars Enclave – you can immediately dismantle it and continue using the one you were originally given. Also note that you must have completed ‘The Arrival’ Witch Queen campaign mission, ‘The Relic’ quest, and two ‘Shaping’ quests to gain access to the Mars Enclave and weapon crafting at the Relic.
5. Visit the Relic Conduit to complete the Exotic quest.

So now you’ve got Revision Zero, the high-tech and slightly mysterious Exotic Pulse Rifle, but this is just the start. You can now get several upgrades for the weapon in the form of enhancements to its Hunter’s Trace perk and four Exotic Catalysts, each offering an extra perk for the weapon. Although, you can only have of these catalysts equipped at a time and must reshape the weapon at the Relic to change it.

Destiny 2 Should You Choose To Accept It quests

The four Exotic Catalyst quests (Should You Choose To Accept It Parts 1-4) for Revision Zero are all obtainable now but you’ll need to go through the seasonal story quest and complete the catalyst quests in order. The quests are quite self-explanatory and typically involve the same sorts of steps. The main challenge is playing through Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty to find a hidden Dead Exo holding a weapon schematic along the way. • Complete Operation: Archimedes.
• Go to Europa and defeat enemies and complete patrol missions until you get the next objective.
• Complete the Perdition Lost Sector and activate the dead drop to the left of the Lost Sector chest.
• Start Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty and activate the Dead Exo found slumped against the right wall in the microwave puzzle room.
• Finish Operation Seraph’s Shield to get the catalyst.

Completing this Destiny 2 Revision Zero quest unlocks the Frenzy Refit Exotic Catalyst which adds the Frenzy perk for faster reloading after kills.

Destiny 2 Should You Choose To Accept It Part 2

• Complete Operation: Diocles.
• Go to the Moon and defeat enemies and complete patrol missions until you get the next objective.
• Complete the K1 Logistics Lost Sector and activate the dead drop through the exit doorway.
• Start Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty and activate the Dead Exo at the end of the ventilation shaft in the room with the two Shriekers in the first half of the mission.
• Finish Operation Seraph’s Shield to get the catalyst.

Complete this Destiny 2 quest to get the Pressurized Refit Exotic Catalyst which adds the Under Pressure perk, improving Revision Zero’s stability and accuracy as you fire more bursts.

Destiny 2 Should You Choose to Accept It Part 3

• Complete Operation: Archimedes.
• Go to the EDZ and defeat enemies and complete patrol missions until you get the next objective.
• Complete the Terminus East Lost Sector and activate the dead drop to the right of the Lost Sector chest.
• Start Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty and activate the Dead Exo found in a small room to the right of the entrance to the first boss fight area.
• Finish Operation Seraph’s Shield to get the catalyst.

You’ll get the Outlaw Refit Exotic Catalyst for completing Should You Choose To Accept It Part 3. Slot Outlaw Refit onto your Revision Zero to gain Outlaw, granting rapid reload speeds after getting a precision kill.

Destiny 2 Should You Choose to Accept It Part 4

• Complete Operation: Diocles.
• Go to the Cosmodrome and defeat enemies and complete patrol missions until you get the next objective.
• Complete the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector and activate the dead drop in the exit doorway.
• Start Operation: Seraph’s Shield on Legend difficulty and activate the Dead Exo found aboard the Fallen Ketch in a compartment on the right.
• Finish Operation Seraph’s Shield to get the catalyst.
• Speak to the Destiny 2 weapons expert – the Tower Gunsmith – to finish the quest.

You’ll be rewarded with the final Exotic Catalyst for Revision Zero, 4-Timer Refit, which allow you to slot the perk Fourth Times The Charm to the weapon. This causes Revision Zero to regenerate two bullets to the magazine for every four rapid precision hits you get.

Destiny 2 Revision Zero Hunter’s Trace upgrades

The Hunter’s Trace perk for Revision Zero gives the weapon anti-barrier ammunition and causes precision hits to generate targeting data. Once you’ve got enough data, you can convert the Pulse Rifle into a Sniper Rifle and fire off up to four high-damage shots. Furthermore, completing runs of Operation: Seraph’s Shield each week will unlock upgrades for Hunter’s Trace which steadily improve the weapon and can be applied by reshaping Revision Zero at the Relic. Here’s what each improvement does:

• Hunter’s Trace II: Slightly improves Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed, targeting data becomes slightly easier to generate, and unlocks the ability to switch the barrel perk.
• Hunter’s Trace III: Further improves Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed, targeting data becomes easier to generate, and unlocks the ability to switch the trait.
• Hunter’s Trace IV: Further improves Range, Stability, Handling, and Reload Speed, targeting data becomes even easier to generate, and unlocks the ability to switch the stock perk.
