Sunbreak Endgame Unlockables Guide

For a quick reference of what you'll unlock when in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak's endgame, reference this chart. Everything is explained in detail in the separate sections on this page. Also keep in mind, each new Afflicted Material and Monster Materials unlock new Decorations, too.

How to Unlock All Afflicted Materials

In total, there are eight different Afflicted Materials. Each Afflicted Material can be obtained by multiple different monsters in a particular Anomaly Quest level. The Material you'll get depends on the specific monster. To unlock all levels of Anomaly Quests to access all Afflicted Materials, you will need to increase your Master Rank up to Master Rank 50 and defeat Furious Rajang.

For example, you will only find monsters that drop Afflicted Pelt and Afflicted Bone in 1-Star Anomaly Quests. Here's how to unlock all levels of Anomaly Quests, and in doing so, all Afflicted Materials.

1. First, complete Sunbreak's final story quest, Proof of Courage
2. Complete the Master Rank 10 Urgent Quest - Anomaly Research to unlock A★ Anomaly Quests
3. Complete the Master Rank 20 Urgent Quest - Retribution to unlock A★★ Anomaly Quests
4. Complete the Master Rank 30 Urgent Quest - Spine-Tingling Divinity to unlock A★★★ Anomaly Quests
5. Complete the Master Rank 50 Urgent Quest - Unreasonable Rage to unlock A★★★★ Anomaly Quests

List of Afflicted Materials

Here is a list of all Afflicted Materials and which level of Anomaly Quest you will find them. Click on the individual material for details on exactly how to unlock it and which monsters you need to hunt to earn it.

• Afflicted Pelt - A★

Regardless of which material you're after or which monster you're hunting, make sure to break monster parts. You're guaranteed at least one Afflicted part (and one Outfit Voucher +) per Anomaly Quest, but get additional chances in the rewards screen for broken parts. You'll have additional chances when carving an Afflicted Monster and its tail, too (and remember, you can use traps on them, but you can't capture them.)

How to Unlock All Rarity 10 Weapons

Though most Rarity 10 Weapons require a specific Afflicted Material, some require materials from the various Master Rank Urgent Quests, including:

• Ibushi Master Rank Weapons and Armor - Complete the Master Rank 20 Urgent Quest to unlock Master Rank Ibushi Complete the Master Rank 50 Urgent Quest
• Narwa Master Rank Weapons and Armor - Complete the Master Rank 30 Urgent Quest to unlock Master Rank Narwa and its Master Rank Weapons and Armor
• Shagaru Magala Rarity 10 Weapons - Complete the Master Rank 50 Urgent Quest to unlock Furious Rajang. Shagaru Magala's final weapon forms require Furious Rajang materials.
• Rarity 10 weapons for the Elder Dragons Teostra, Kushala Daora, Chameleos, and Crimson Glow Valstrax require additional materials that can only be obtained by doing the Urgent Quest introduced at Master Rank 70, which unlocks Master Rank Tap to Reveal.
• Rarity 10 Magnamalo Weapons - Finally, there's another monster unlocked at Master Rank 100 - Tap to Reveal. Hunting that monster unlocks the Rarity 10 Magnamalo Weapon, which is at the end of the??? Tree below the Magnamalo tree.
• Rarity 10 Malzeno Weapons - Require materials from the MR 100 Urgent Quest Monster

How to Level Up Master Rank Fast

Unlocking everything there is in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak can become a bit of a chore, so here are your best options when trying to increase your Master Rank level:

1. Specific Special Location Quests - Quests in one small area with a rainbow Spiribird available at the start are generally good choices - like the final boss. You won't have to waste time running around the map, and repeating the same quest should make you better at completing it fast. At MR30, you'll unlock a 6-Star Master Rank quest in the Arena called Unbridled Mayhem. You'll get the most bang for your time with this one, as long as you can complete it reliably. The Downside: Monotonous, and you won't earn a wide variety of materials you may need later on.
2. Anomaly Quests - These not only grant a pretty substantial amount of Master Rank "points," but have the added benefit of rewarding Afflicted Materials and Outfit Voucher+, which you need to make cool new layered armor. The Downside: These quests can take a long time in relation to how much Master Rank you'll gain for each.
3. Quest Clean Up - Complete the outstanding optional quests you have with a "..." symbol to unlock new Dango, Layered Armor, and more. The Downside: These probably aren't that efficient if all you're after is to level up, but, you should probably do them anyway!
4. Grind for New Armor Sets: We think this is the most fun and rewarding way to increase your Master Rank in Sunbreak, though it's likely the least efficient. The hits of accomplishment by setting small goals and completing them really breaks up the grind - and with armor sets, you'll have things to show for it! You can always choose Anomaly Quests with monsters you need parts from to increase the grind efficiency.
